JSF Short Landing

Although Sean linked to the F-35 short landing video in Frago, there are some comment-worthy features in there.

On the approach, at 17-20 seconds, it definitely looks as if the jet is in a crosswind - it stays head-on to the camera but is moving laterally relative to the ground. If that's so, the video cuts out the point at which the pilot would have to point the nose down the centerline.

At the 26-second mark, just on touchdown, the F-35B rolls quickly to the right, counteracted by a lot of left-wing-down deflection of the flaperon and stabilizer. A bit of a "whoa Betty!" moment.

Of course, this isn't something that you'd normally do. The shipboard rolling vertical landing (SRVL) being evaluated by the Royal Navy involves landing at 60 knots airspeed, and the arrival seen here was at 130 knots (about the same as a Gripen, I believe).
